AM 750 is one of the youngest AM radios in Buenos Aires. It is the only radio station that belongs to a union. The close relation between Víctor Santa María, Secretary General of the Single Trade Union of Concierges (SUTERH), and the Kirchner’s administration, promoted several joint projects; for instance, the radio frequency was assigned to SUTERH in 2008. It was a very sought-after radio frequency, since it is located between the frequencies of the two most popular radio stations: Mitre (AM 790) and Radio 10 (AM 710). Grupo Octubre, the multimedia group owned by SUTERH, includes FM Oktubre (89.1), FM Gol (94.7), newspaper Página 12, as well as several magazines and cultural centers and theaters.
andThe radio owners have always been the same since it started to operate, in 2010. However, the radio station was relaunched in 2016, when it hired famous host and football commentator Víctor Hugo Morales. Since then and after the close of several radio stations with an editorial line opposite to Mauricio Macri’s administration, the radio’s audience has increased; today it is the fourth most popular AM radio station.
Like many other AM radios, its programming is informative, though it has a clear political and cultural approach, and a “progressive” agenda.
